Through meticulous engagement of community based organizations, institutional partners, legislators, and the media, Electrify DC reached over 4.2 million people in the DC region and beyond. Please check out our reach for more information on who we reached and how.

Working with more than 50 community-based organizations on program design ensured a diverse and engaged audience. Working with local administration from across the region brought people from as far as Annapolis, Fredrick, and Prince William’s County.

To ensure attendees could engage with the whole range of electrification products and services, we worked to have broad representation by exhibitors.

The inaugural edition of the Healthy Homes Fair was held in partnership with 9 government entities (representing close to 3M of the 5.5M residing in the DC region) hell-bent on meeting their decarbonization goals. This created the premises for meaningful networking with manufacturers, service providers and communities on the day of the fair, and kicked off what has become the Residential Electrification Implementation Working Group (REIWG).
Year ‘round impact
To ensure attendees could engage with the whole range of electrification products and services year ‘round, we created a Healthy Homes App. On the day of the event, the App also served as the support for the scavenger hunts and raffles.
Training
In the lead up to the event, in partnership with ESMAC and Energy Star, we held a webinar for heat pump water heater installers, with a hands on session on the morning of the fair.
100% empowered
All surveyed attendees reported learning about products, services and incentives available and stated they will use that knowledge to decarbonize their homes. This is the true measure of our success.

Thanks to our partners we were able to raffle 13 state-of-the-art electric appliances and have been following up with our winners to check on the installation of induction ranges, cooktops and plug ins.
