FAQs

what is the healthy homes fair?

The Healthy Homes Fair is the biggest consumer-facing home electrification event in the country. It is a free expo and interactive experience for homeowners, renters, home renovation professionals and career seekers to learn about the technologies, products, services and incentives available to improve our health, increase comfort, and reduce emissions from the homes of the DC region.

When will the healthy homes fair happen?

The second Healthy Homes Fair will open its doors on Saturday Mary 10, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Catholic University of America. (Note that the Academy is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Expo is from 1 -5 p.m.) Considering the positive feedback from attendees and exhibitors and large amount of community engagement including education and workforce development around decarbonizing our homes, we expect this installment of Healthy Homes Fair to be even bigger and better than the inaugural event.

A full day of training, multilingual workshops, cooking demonstrations, fun activities for children of all ages, and an appliance “petting zoo” to educate homeowners, renters, and workforce about the science, technology, incentives, and careers available to decarbonize the homes of the DC region to meet the area’s Climate Commitments. If you or your organization would like to help build the program of the fair, please email ricardo@electrifydc.org.

Who runs the Healthy Homes Fair?

The Healthy Homes Fair is powered by Electrify DC, a leading nonprofit making it easier, faster and more affordable to decarbonize our homes.
